In this episode, we’re joined by Konstantinos-Konor Lambrinidis, Global Events & Internal Communications Specialist at SAP, and Denise van den Outenaar, Manager Business Development at RAI Amsterdam.
Konor lives and breathes events. Corporate conferences, music events, dinner parties — if it brings people together, he’s interested. And that breadth of experience shapes everything about how he approaches his work at SAP, where his role blends live event production with internal communications at a global scale.
The question that drives him is simple: why should anyone care? It started in his sales days and has never left him. If you can’t convince someone that their time is worth giving to your event, what are you really building?
He’s also refreshingly candid about what the industry demands. The room doesn’t lie, he says. When something isn’t working, you know immediately, and in front of a lot of eyes. It’s uncomfortable, but it’s also one of the best learning environments there is.
For anyone considering a career in events, his advice is practical and a little unexpected: get some commercial experience, think about content as a product, and stop trying to be impressive. Just be yourself. It works better than you’d think.
